SEEDIE Names Obfuscato to Executive Director Post

The Society for Exorbitantly Expensive and Difficult to Implement EHRs announced the appointment of Sal Obfuscato to executive director at their annual board meeting in Lake Tahoe.

SEEDIE board chairman Brantley Whittington from EHR vendor Extormity hailed Obfuscato as the best possible choice. “While Sal’s lack of healthcare experience was a red flag to some, his ability to enforce standards at all costs could not come at a better time for our industry. While at the helm of a leading waste hauling syndicate, Sal was able to extract maximum customer revenues and keep market leaders marching in lockstep.”

The SEEDIE board approached a number of qualified candidates, and narrowed the field to three leading contenders for a final round of interviews. Inexplicably, the other two candidates failed to appear for their appointments and were reported to be on extended vacations. Obfuscato won the SEEDIE review panel over with a brief yet forceful statement which reads “You got a problem, I got a guy.”

About SEEDIE

SEEDIE, the Society for Exorbitantly Expensive and Difficult to Implement EHR’s, is a healthcare IT standards organization that is completely funded and operated by a select group of proprietary electronic health record vendors.

Unlike independent, objective, professional organizations created to help medical professionals select and implement interoperable EHR solutions, SEEDIE promotes healthcare IT systems that play well in the sandbox if, and only if, it is in the best interests of a particular vendor.
